Position: Optometric Technician/Medical Assistant
About the Role
As a valued member of our V EYE P team, you’ll play a key role in supporting both our doctors and patients. Your work helps create a smooth, efficient, and positive experience from start to finish.
What You’ll Do
- Spend 15+ minutes with each patient before the exam to gather medical history and perform pre-testing
- Perform diagnostic testing including OCT, Visual Fields, and Optos imaging
- Assist with patient scheduling, check-in/check-out, and general administrative tasks
- Help patients order contact lenses and manage contact lens inventory
- Verify insurance and educate patients on their benefits
- Scribe for the doctor during exams
- Serve as a liaison between the office and pharmaceutical/contact lens representatives
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming office environment
- Handle ordering, receiving, and tracking of contact lens shipments
What We’re Looking For
- Prior experience in an optometry office (required)
- Hands-on experience with OCT, Visual Fields, and Optos (required)
- Comfortable using electronic medical records and general technology
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Friendly, patient-focused attitude with excellent communication skills
- Ability to balance efficiency with high-quality patient care
- A proactive mindset with a willingness to learn and grow
- Dependable and accountable—you follow through on what you say

Pay: $16.00 – $20.00 per hour
