Full Job Description
Fast-paced Urology practice located in downtown Houston is seeking an experienced medical assistant. Candidate must be self-motivated and have a genuine interest in providing excellent patient care.
Essential Functions and Duties:
- Assist physician in translation, physical examinations and clinic procedures
- Perform venipuncture and complete laboratory requisition for forms
- Prepare instruments and equipment according to office protocol
- Maintain exam rooms in a clean and orderly condition
- Take inventory of clinic supplies and report to department manager
- Collate patient clinical data into electronic medical record
- Refill medications according to department protocol
- Answer patient phone calls upon familiarity with physician clinical protocols
- Have excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
Requirements: 1 year medical assistant experience is required, preferably in a urology setting Fluent in Spanish*
