Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant
Location: Fort Worth, TX
Pay Rate: $120–$125/hour
Employment Type: Full-Time | 26-Week Contract
Schedule: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM, OR Blocks
About the Opportunity
A leading healthcare system in Fort Worth, TX is seeking experienced Nurse Practitioners (NP) or Physician Assistants (PA) in Surgery to join its team on a full-time, 3-6 month contract basis. This role supports a diverse surgical caseload of 2-3 cases per day across General, Uro-Onc, Gyn-Onc, Endocrine, and Otology surgeries.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct surgical support across General, Uro-Onc, Gyn-Onc, Endocrine, and Otology cases
- Assist surgeons during OR procedures, managing 2-3 cases per day
- Conduct pre-operative and post-operative patient assessments
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, and OR staff to ensure quality patient care
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of surgical encounters
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
Requirements
- Active NP or PA license (Texas or compact/eligible for licensure)
- 1-2 years of experience working in surgery
- Comfortable managing a varied surgical caseload across multiple specialties
- Strong communication and teamwork skills in a high-volume OR setting
- Ability to complete a 30-60 day credentialing process
