Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Plastic Surgery Physician Assistant (PA) to join our innovative team in <LOCATION>. Duties

  • Assist plastic surgeons during outpatient surgical procedures, and post-operative care, ensuring adherence to aseptic techniques and safety protocols.
  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and detailed medical histories to determine candidacy for procedures.
  • Provide patient education on recovery protocols and expected outcomes.
  • Support surgical procedures by preparing the operating room (OR), assisting with suturing, wound care, and instrumentation handling during surgeries.
  • Document all patient interactions accurately within Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems while maintaining HIPAA compliance.
  • Participate in clinical research studies related to aesthetic or reconstructive techniques, contributing data collection, analysis, and reporting efforts.

Experience

  • Valid Physician Assistant license with current certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
  • Prior hospital experience or working in surgery.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in EMR systems for documentation and data management.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology related to plastic surgery procedures including anatomy knowledge of facial structures and skin layers.
  • Strong understanding of infection control practices, aseptic technique during procedures, and airway management when necessary during sedation or anesthesia support.
  • Experience working with diverse patient populations across outpatient clinics, hospital settings, or nursing homes enhances adaptability in this role.
