Full Job Description
At Austin Thyroid & Endocrinology, we’re dedicated to providing expert care in thyroid disorders, diabetes, hormone imbalances, and metabolic health. We’re seeking an experienced and compassionate Nurse Practitioner/ Physician Assistant (PA) to join our dynamic team and play a key role in delivering high-quality patient care under the supervision of a renowned endocrinologist with 30+ years of experience.
What You’ll Do
- Provide Direct Patient Care: Conduct comprehensive physical assessments, review lab studies, and collaborate with the medical team to design and implement treatment plans for patients with diabetes, fatty liver disease (MASLD/NAFLD), thyroid disorders, hormone imbalances, adrenal and pituitary conditions, osteoporosis, PCOS, and other endocrine and metabolic disorders.
- Respond to Patient Portal Messages: Manage patient communications in a timely, clinically sound manner.
- Collaborate with Experts: Work closely with physicians, clinical, and administrative staff to ensure exceptional standards of care.
- Offer Patient Education: Guide patients in health maintenance, chronic disease management, nutrition, and preventive care.
- Keep Things Running Smoothly: Maintain accurate medical records, manage inventory of supplies, and ensure compliance with healthcare protocols.
What We’re Looking For
Education & Experience
- Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program with at least one year of clinical experience
- Endocrinology experience strongly preferred
- Eclinicalworks is a plus
Licensing & Certification
- Current Nurse Practitioner License or Physician Assistant (PA) license in the State of Texas
- Active PA-C certification (NCCPA)or NP
- Current CPR certification
Skills & Abilities
- Expertise in diagnosing, treating, and managing endocrine-related conditions
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to stay calm and make informed decisions in high-pressure situations
- Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced, high-volume medical environment

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $120,000.00 – $130,000.00 per year
Expected hours: 28 – 40 per week
