The Physician Assistant will play a vital role in patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and ongoing management while adhering to HIPAA regulations and maintaining high standards of patient care. The position involves collaboration with multidisciplinary teams in patients setting.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments including history taking, physical examinations, vital signs, and diagnostic evaluation.
• Perform medical procedures such as suturing, injections (including botulinum toxin), phlebotomy, IV infusions, and airway management.
• Manage acute pain and chronic conditions across various specialties including geriatrics, pediatrics, neonatal care, and palliative medicine.
• Document clinical findings accurately in electronic health records (eClinicalWorks) ensuring compliance with HIPAA standards.
• Develop treatment plans based on clinical research data and evidence-based practices; participate in clinical trials when applicable.
• Administer medications and injections following aseptic techniques; monitor patient responses and adjust treatments accordingly.
• Assist in complex procedures such as cardiac catheterization or spinal taps; manage ventilator support in ICU or PICU settings.
• Provide triage and urgent care services; coordinate discharge planning and post-acute care for hospitalized patients.
• Engage in health coaching and patient education to promote wellness and disease prevention strategies.
• Collect data for quality improvement initiatives aligned with NCQA standards; contribute to infection control protocols and radiation therapy procedures when necessary.

Experience

• Proven experience working within hospital environments such as Level I or Level II trauma centers; ICU or emergency room experience preferred.
• Demonstrated proficiency with EMR systems including eClinicalWorks; experience with telehealth platforms is a plus.
• Background in diverse medical disciplines such as internal medicine, family practice, occupational health, or public health.
• Hands-on experience with advanced procedures like cardiac catheterization, dermal fillers, esthetic laser treatments, or radiation therapy is advantageous.
• Familiarity with medical coding (CPT, ICD-9/10) for billing purposes; knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy is essential.
• Experience working with vulnerable populations including neonatal ventilator management, senior care facilities, or hospice settings is desirable. Pay: $70,000.00 – $110,000.00 per year
