Medical Assistant – Integrative Wellness Clinic
Location: Amarillo, TXEmployment Type: Full-Time

We are a team of 6 providers – 1 DO, 1 DC, 4 FNP’s and 14 other employees.

Position Overview:As a Medical Assistant, you’ll be the first one to provide attentive care and receive a detailed intake from every client. Your superpower? You’re obsessed with warm patient care, asking provoking questions to get the full picture, connecting the dots with concerns and treatment options before the provider ever steps foot in the treatment room. You’re equal parts relationship builder, problem identifier, and solution proposer.
Your Responsibilities:
Patient Care
- Prompt patient rooming and thorough appointment intake
- Complete medication reconciliation on each patient and update in the EMR
- Collect blood and perform routine laboratory/diagnostic tests when ordered
- Review patient encounters and initiate orders, record requests, etc
- Review and respond to patient voicemails and portal messages
Provider Partnership
- Prepare provider for scheduled appointments by providing a detailed intake, procedure preparation, and assist in procedures when necessary
- Follow through on provider orders for immunizations, injections, etc
- Ensure provider is up to date on patient results and RX refills as they are being received
- Close each day by checking out with your provider to ensure all patient needs have been met
Ancillary Service Provider
- Watch, train, and perform ancillary clinic services
- Spearhead an ancillary service that brings you joy by providing the service regularly to patients
What You Bring:
- CMA preferred, but will consider noncertified MA, EMT, phlebotomist, or equivalent role with extensive experience
- Friendly, upbeat communication style with natural confidence
- Enthusiastic mindset — you believe in what you’re doing and want to learn more
- Highly organized with a strong attention to detail
- Tech-savvy and quick to learn new systems
