JOB OVERVIEW Job ID: 103598 Profession: Physician Assistant/ Nurse Practitioner Specialty: NP/PA – Emergency Medicine Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Bristol, Tennessee Coverage Period: ASAP- Ongoing Reason for Coverage: Coverage Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered PATIENT INFORMATION Average Daily Volume: Approximately 129 patients per day (47,000 annual) Case Mix: Emergency Medicine FACILITY INFORMATION Trauma Level: Level II EMR System: Epic PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Hospital Privileges Required: Yes JOB REQUIREMENTS Board: Active Board certification Licenses: Active unrestricted Tennessee license, Active DEA registration with Tennessee address DEA / CDS: Active DEA with Tennessee address; schedules 2, 2N, 3, 3N, 4, 5 Certifications: ACLS, ATLS, PALS required Experience: 2 years recent Emergency Medicine or acute care preferred; new graduates considered Other Qualifications: Documentation of MMR/Varicella immunizations or positive titers, Two-Step TB test within 12 months, Chest X-ray if TB positive, QuantiFERON Gold accepted, Case logs for previous 2 years, Preeclampsia-Eclampsia CME DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Evaluate, diagnose, and manage emergency department patients in a Level II Trauma Center with 47,000 annual visits Collaborate with emergency medicine physicians and APP colleagues in a high-volume practice Perform emergency procedures within scope of practice and under physician supervision Document patient encounters and manage care using Epic EMR Adhere to all facility credentialing, privileging, and compliance requirements
