Full Job Description

A PA in orthopedics will be conducting patient assessments, obtaining medical histories, and performing physical examinations. They may order and interpret diagnostic tests such as X-rays or MRIs to assist in diagnosing conditions. They may also assist in surgical procedures, both in the operating room and in the pre- and post-operative phases.

In collaboration with orthopedic surgeons, a PA will develop treatment plans for patients, which may involve prescribing medications, providing injections, or recommending physical therapy. They educate patients about their conditions, treatment options, and post-operative care, ensuring they fully understand the recommended course of action.

Additionally, they often provide follow-up care to monitor patients’ progress, manage pain, and address any complications or concerns. They may also assist with casting, splinting, or other immobilization techniques.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $110,000.00 per year
