Nurse Practitioner /Physician Assistant Job Description

Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care, preventive medicine, conducting assessments, and developing treatment plans. This position requires a strong clinical background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals.

Duties

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments and physical examinations.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
  • Manage acute and chronic health conditions, including but not limited to geriatrics and infectious disease care. Follow standing orders created by MD for Preventive Care.
  • Perform medical procedures such as , IV infusions, and utilize aseptic techniques.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Utilize electronic health record systems like e-clinical for documentation and patient management.
  • Provide education to patients and families regarding health conditions, treatments, and preventive care.
  • Coordinate with Durable Medical Equipment (DME) suppliers for patient needs.
  • Participate in continuous professional development and training to stay updated on best practices in nursing.

Experience

  • A valid Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant license in the state of Texas is required.
  • Experience in areas such as infant care, geriatrics, infectious disease care, and sterile processing is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in using electronic health record systems, particularly e-clinical , is preferred.
  • Strong clinical skills with the ability to perform various medical procedures effectively.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with patients and team members.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $113,184.00 – $118,675.00 per year

Expected hours: 46 per week
