Job SummaryBotany Wellness is seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will work closely with our physician and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care. This role requires a strong understanding of various medical practices and the ability to perform clinical tasks efficiently. The Physician Assistant will be involved in patient assessments, treatment planning, and follow-up care, ensuring that patients receive comprehensive medical attention.

Duties

• Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history and physical examinations.
• Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians.
• Perform diagnostic procedures and interpret medical imaging results.
• Provides accurate billing, coding and medical documentation.
• Assist in emergency medicine situations, providing immediate care as needed.
• Participate in medical weight loss and obesity training.
• Provide education on public health issues, family planning, and preventative care measures.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Completes medical records and submit charges in a timely manner.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Physician Assistant studies or a related field from an accredited program.
• Certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants, Inc.
• Licensed by the Texas State Board of Physician Assistant Examiners.
• Experience in Primary care.
• Clinical experience preferred in obesity medicine.
• Experience or knowledge in areas such as DME (Durable Medical Equipment), hospital medicine, and emergency medicine.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Proficient in using eClinicalWorks EMR for documentation and patient management.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with medical advancements.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $32.00 – $38.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 35 per week
