Full Job Description

Principle Spine and Pain is hiring an Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant). We are a private practice offering interventional and pain management services in the Pasadena, Clear Lake, and Texas City, TX areas. Our Advanced Practice Provider will deliver high-quality, patient-centered pain management services within our Pasadena clinic and other locations as needed. This role will collaborate closely with physicians, clinical staff, facility teams, and administrative teams to ensure timely, compassionate, and compliant delivery of pain management services.

Compensation & Benefits

  • $150,000-$200,000/year or more! (variable compensation plan based on production.)

Schedule & Work Environment

  • Primarily reports to the Pasadena clinic location
  • Monday–Thursday 8:00am-5:30pm and Friday 8:00am-2:00pm (hours may vary based on patient volume and business needs)
  • Clinic staffing coverage as needed (Pasadena, Clear Lake ,and Texas City)
  • Rounding at SNF/LTAC facilities is optional (additional hours/patient volume)

Responsibilties

  • Provide primary care medical (pain management) services typically performed by a mid-level provider, under the supervision of a physician.
  • Provide acute and chronic care in the clinics and hospitals, including assessing and managing patients following established standards and practices.
  • Rotate through assigned clinic shifts at any of the IPS clinic sites.
  • Examine new patients to obtain information about their physical condition.
  • Perform follow up appointments for chronic pain management patients.
  • Administer and/or order diagnostic tests and laboratory tests. Interpret diagnostic test results for deviations from normal and determine the need for follow-up appointments and further treatment options.
  • Perform the following injections: intra-articular, trigger-point, tendonitis, bursitis
  • Manage and refill intrathecal pain pumps
  • Make tentative diagnoses and decisions about management and treatment of patients.
  • Make sure the patients follow their treatment plans, including compliance with tests and other treatment recommendations.
  • Obtain, compile and record patient medical data, including health history, progress notes and results of physical examination.
  • Instruct and counsel patients about prescribed therapeutic regimens. Serve as the resource patients need for ongoing care information, counseling and provide guidance for any patients with critical conditions.
  • Prescribe therapy or medication.
  • Visit and treat patients at hospitals as assigned, updating charts, ordering therapy, and reporting back to primary physician.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality.
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Must hold a current license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Texas.
  • 3+ years’ experience as a professional Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in a clinic setting.
  • Current DEA certificate
  • Pain, neurology ,or orthopedics experience is a plus.
  • Team player, compassionate ,and puts patients first.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, and move between facilities frequently
