Job Description:We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Physician Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this role, you will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality care to patients across a variety of medical settings. The ideal candidate will have excellent clinical skills, strong interpersonal abilities, and a passion for delivering patient-centered care.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and medical histories
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses and injuries
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as lab work and imaging studies
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians
- Perform procedures, including suturing, wound care as needed
- Prescribe medications and provide patient education on medication use and potential side effects
- Counsel patients on preventive care measures, lifestyle modifications, and health promotion strategies
- Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation
- Participate in continuing education and professional development activities to stay current with medical advances and best practices
Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program
- Current licensure as a Physician Assistant in the state of Texas
- Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
- Excellent clinical skills and knowledge of evidence-based medicine
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
