Physician Assistant (PA), Full-time, Midland, TX Job Summary: AllerVie is seeking a seeking a qualified Physician Assistant to join our growing organization and dynamic team in Midland, TX. The Physician Assistant will plan and coordinate the delivery of quality and safe patient care to our allergy patients. The PA will collaborate with Physicians within framework of approved guidelines and protocols, follow established clinical protocols and clinical practice guidelines, and above all, provide excellent quality of care to our patients. Duties/Responsibilities:
- Promote and maintains patient health by providing medical services under the supervision of a physician
- Contribute to a physician’s efficiency by identifying short-term and long-range patient care issues
- Recommend options and courses of action for patient care
- Implement physician directives
- Assess patient health by interviewing patients and performing physical examination including obtaining, updating, and studying medical histories
- Determine abnormal conditions by administering or ordering laboratory studies and interpreting test results
- Document patient care services by charting in patient and department records
- Perform therapeutic procedures by administering injections and immunizations
- Provide community of care by developing and implementing patient-management plans
- Protect patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
- Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
- Comply with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating future legislation; and enforcing adherence to requirements and advising management on needed actions.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Qualifications, Education and Experience:
- Graduate from an ARC-PA accredited physician assistant program
- Current PA license from Texas Medical Board
- BLS certification
- National Provider Identifier (NPI)
- Prior work experience in a medical setting
- Able to work in fast-paced environment and balance multiple priorities.
- Must have effective verbal and written communication skills
- Must demonstrate leadership ability through both superior clinical skills and as a practice development resource
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies
