Job Title: Nurse Practitioner (NP) / Physician Assistant (PA) – Urgent CareLocation: Midland/Odessa, TXEmployment Type: Full-Time / Part-Time

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our Urgent Care team in Midland/Odessa, TX. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment, treating acute illnesses and minor injuries for patients of all ages. This role offers the opportunity to work collaboratively with a team of healthcare professionals while maintaining autonomy in clinical decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients presenting with acute illnesses, minor injuries, and urgent medical conditions.
  • Perform procedures such as suturing, splinting, incision and drainage, wound care, and foreign body removal.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests (labs, X-rays, etc.) and determine appropriate treatment plans.
  • Prescribe medications and provide patient education on treatment, prevention, and follow-up care.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records (EMR).
  • Recognize and escalate cases requiring emergency care or specialist referral.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal medical regulations and clinical protocols.

Qualifications:

  • Current and valid Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) license in the state of Texas.
  • Completion of an accredited NP or PA program with board certification (FNP, ENP, or PA-C).
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, or primary care setting preferred.
  • Proficiency in suturing, splinting, wound care, and other urgent care procedures.
  • Strong clinical decision-making, diagnostic, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with the healthcare team.
  • BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Excellent communication and patient interaction skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.
  • DEA license and ability to prescribe controlled substances.

Pay: $135,000.00 – $145,000.00 per year
