Full Job Description

We are seeking candidates for a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for the Dallas/Ft.

Worth area. Duties to include conducting history and physical exams, assessment and treatment of endocrinology health problems in patients and providing annual assessments.

Candidates must hold current Texas certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with at least three year’s clinical experience working in a health care setting. We are also seeking entry level candidates.

The NP/PA is responsible for assisting in the delivery of health care for endocrinology patients. Under a physician’s supervision, the NP/PA is responsible for a broad range of medical services, including but not limited to: autonomously providing patient assessment, education, follow-up visits, and medication management. As designated by scope of practice guidelines, the supervising physician and his/her designee will be available at all times to the NP/PA for consultation either in person, by telephone, or paging device. The NP/PA will be provided with a schedule of the supervising physician and his/her availability for consultation.

General Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Obtains Patient medical history and conducts physical examinations for Patients, as assigned by the supervising physician.
  • Conducts new consult and follow-up visits consistent with the organization’s scheduling guidelines.
  • Develops medical care plans under physician supervision, including implementing treatment plans and periodically assessing medical needs and responses to treatment.
  • Excellent patient care skills and awareness of the legal implications of work and words in healthcare.
  • General knowledge of OSHA and HIPAA regulations.

Job Requirements Education/Experience/Knowledge:

  • Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program:

Certificates and Licenses:

  • Degree from an accredited school of Nursing or Physician Assistant Program.
  • Current and Valid Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Licensure
  • Current Controlled Substance Certification in applicable jurisdiction.
  • Current DEA license in applicable jurisdiction.
  • BLS Certification
  • ACLS Certification

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 – $120,000.00 per year
