JOB SUMMARY
The Pain Treatment Institute is looking for a highly motivated, dynamic individual to join our pain management team as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant. In collaboration with an Attending Physician, the NP/PA is responsible for the direct care of a population of patients seen within the practice. You will provide initial/ongoing comprehensive assessments of patients, a complete physical assessment, history of current and previous illness(es), and review of diagnostic tests and imaging.
REQUIREMENTS
- Current state-issued Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in the state of Texas.
- Current TB screening
- Maintains a current BLS certification
- Assess data to determine diagnosis
- Develop a care plan that establishes goals, based on diagnosis
- Documenting daily assessments
- Serve as an educational resource to the patient/family and provider team
- Demonstrating a commitment to patient safety
- Must be flexible and adaptable; conditions and environment are unpredictable and change frequently
- Great communication skills.
- Shows ability to organize and prioritize workload independently
Due to scope of practice, chosen candidate must be a Nurse Practitioner or a Physician Assistant. Previous pain management experience is preferred but not mandatory.
