Physician Assistant (PA) – Endocrinology
Location: McKinney, TX (In-person)
Pay: $55.00 – $65.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday to Friday, Day Shift (No nights, No weekends)
About the Role:
We are looking for a dedicated Physician Assistant (PA) to join our Endocrinology practice and provide high-quality, patient-centered care. In this role, you’ll work closely with Endocrinologists and a multidisciplinary team to diagnose, treat, and manage a variety of endocrine disorders, including diabetes, thyroid disease, and metabolic bone conditions.

Key Responsibilities:
Patient Assessment & Diagnosis
- Conduct comprehensive patient histories and physical exams
- Interpret diagnostic tests, including blood glucose levels, thyroid function tests, and hormone panels
- Diagnose and manage diabetes, thyroid disease, osteoporosis, and other endocrine disorders
Treatment & Disease Management
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans with an Endocrinologist
- Prescribe and adjust medications, including insulin and hormone replacement therapies
- Educate patients on medication adherence, lifestyle modifications, and disease management
Procedures & Patient Support
- Manage insulin pump therapy and continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) systems
- Provide counseling on nutrition, exercise, and lifestyle factors affecting endocrine health
Collaboration & Communication
- Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers to ensure coordinated care
- Communicate effectively with patients and families, addressing concerns and providing clear guidance
Follow-Up & Monitoring
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Ensure timely follow-ups and respond to any changes in symptoms or lab results
Administrative Duties
- Document patient encounters and treatment plans in the electronic medical records (EMR) system
- Participate in clinical research and quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications & Requirements:
Education & Certification:
- Master’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant (PA) program
- Certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
Licensure:
- Active PA license in Texas
- DEA registration for prescribing controlled substances (if applicable)
Experience:
- Required: At least 2 years of experience in Internal Medicine
- Preferred: Prior experience in Endocrinology (not mandatory, but a plus!)
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong clinical skills in endocrine disease management
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems
