**Job Description:**As a Physician Assistant at North Texas Brain & Spine Specialists, you will work closely with our physicians to provide high-quality care to our patients. You will be responsible for conducting physical exams, diagnosing and treating neurological and spinal conditions, ordering and interpreting tests, and assisting with all surgical procedures. You will also educate patients on preventive healthcare practices and work collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
**Key Responsibilities:**- Conduct patient assessments and physical examinations.- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic neurological and spinal conditions.- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including lab work and imaging studies.- Prescribe medications and develop treatment plans.- Assist with all surgical procedures and other clinical tasks.- Respond to trauma patients as the first call option.- Provide patient education on wellness and disease prevention.- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.- Maintain accurate and timely patient records in the electronic medical record system.
**Qualifications:**- Current Physician Assistant license in Texas.- Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program.- NCCPA certification.- 2+ years of experience in a clinical setting, preferably in neurosurgery or spine care.- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of medical protocols.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
