Full Job Description
We are seeking a Physician Assistant to join our Family Practice clinic in the McKinney, Frisco, Prosper, Celina, Princeton and other surrounding area. Our mission is to provide patients with the best healthcare experience in a warm and friendly environment. Our provider will effectively interact with patients, significant others, and other health team members while maintaining all standards of professional patient care. This includes but is not limited to evaluations and management, assessments, laboratory testing, and educating patients. Our provider will also engage in frequent and ongoing communication with our Facility Director and other appropriate leadership.
POSITION SUMMARY:
- Function as a key contributor in the clinic
- Autonomy to work independently with the close support of a medical director
- Obtain an adequate patient history and perform appropriate physical examinations
- Order pertinent laboratory test as needed based on the evaluation
- Administers appropriate medication or treatment as necessary
- Demonstrate appropriate assessment, planning, implementation and evaluations
- Build and cultivate daily relationships with patients, staff, and senior leadership
- Set priorities according to patient needs and formulate a plans of care
- Perform ongoing assessment and revise plan of care based on new data and patient’s condition
- Review and uphold clinic and lab policies and procedures
- Collaborate with health team members to ensure the patient’s well being
- Educate patient/significant other according to appropriate health information in a timely manner and share written informational material
- Demonstrate ability and appropriate technical skills when administering treatments and procedures
- Maintain a clean, neat, and safe clinical environment for patients and staff according to policies and procedures
- Demonstrate safe techniques in the use of equipment according to specific product information
- Maintain all required professional certifications and licenses
- Participate in any and all certification of the facility and CEU
- Adhere to administrative system/nursing service policies
- Comply with specific system/division/unit policy and procedure concerning safety
- Complete all clinical and lab education accordingly
- Other duties as assigned
SCHEDULE:
- Monday – Friday ; Full – time
- 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
LOCATION:
- 2740 Virginia Pkwy Suite 100, McKinney, TX 75071
EDUCATION AND TRAINING:
- Unrestricted license in the state of Texas
- Graduate from an accredited Advanced Practice Practitioner program
- 5 years experience in Family Medicine/ Primary Care preferred
- Current BLS card
