OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Pain Management Physician Assistant to join our healthcare team. This role is essential in providing high-quality care to patients suffering from chronic or acute pain conditions. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of pain management practices, including the administration of medications and the ability to assess and monitor vital signs. The position may involve telehealth services, allowing for flexible patient interactions.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients with pain management needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians.
- Administer medications as prescribed and monitor patient responses.
- Perform routine assessments, including taking vital signs and documenting patient history.
- Engage in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care post-treatment.
- Provide education to patients regarding pain management strategies and medication usage.
- Participate in telehealth consultations as required, ensuring adherence to standards of care.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including those involved in hospital medicine, critical care, and primary care settings.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.
Requirements
- Master’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
- Two or more years of experience in pain management, anesthesiology, or related fields.
- Advanced knowledge of pharmacology and pain management protocols.
- Proficiency in performing minor surgical procedures and injections, if needed.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to educate and counsel patients effectively.
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems. eClinicalWorks experience preferred but not required.
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
- Current and unrestricted state licensure as a Physician Assistant.
- Excellent clinical skills and the ability to perform thorough patient evaluations.
- Strong understanding of pain management principles and treatment modalities.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $115,000.00 – $130,000.00 per year
