Job OverviewJob Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Orthopedic Spine Physician Assistant (PA) to join our team. The PA will work closely with orthopedic spine surgeons to provide comprehensive care to patients with spine-related conditions. Responsibilities include assisting in surgery, conducting patient evaluations, performing diagnostic tests, developing treatment plans, and providing post-operative care. This role requires a strong understanding of spinal anatomy, musculoskeletal conditions, and surgical procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist orthopedic spine surgeons in the operating room, including first-assist duties.
- Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, including history-taking and physical examinations.
- Order and interpret diagnostic imaging (X-rays, MRIs, CT scans) and laboratory tests.
- Develop and implement treatment plans, including non-surgical and surgical options.
- Provide preoperative and postoperative patient education and care management.
- Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as necessary.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physical therapists, nurses, and pain management specialists.
- Document patient encounters and maintain accurate medical records.
- Stay updated on advancements in orthopedic spine treatments and procedures.
Qualifications:
Master’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Current PA-C certification through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
- State licensure as a Physician Assistant (or eligibility for licensure).
- Prior experience in orthopedic or spine surgery preferred.
- Strong knowledge of spine-related conditions, treatments, and surgical techniques.
- Excellent communication and patient-care skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical and surgical setting.
Work Environment & Schedule:
Combination of clinic, hospital, and operating room settings.
- May require on-call duties and flexible hours, including weekends.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $150,000.00 – $155,000.00 per year
