OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant to join our healthcare team at Greater Heights Holistic Psychiatry. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals. This position requires a strong commitment to patient well-being, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including taking medical histories and performing physical examinations.
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians.
- Provide patient education on health maintenance and disease prevention.
- Perform procedures such as IV infusion, dermabrasion, and basic life support as needed.
- Assist in the operating room (OR) during surgical procedures and provide post-operative care.
- Participate in addiction counseling and public health initiatives as required.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including those in Pediatric Intensive Care Units (PICU) and teaching hospitals, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records for all patients treated.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Physician Assistant studies or a related field from an accredited program.
- Current certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
- Valid state licensure to practice as a Physician Assistant.
- Strong clinical skills with experience in patient care; familiarity with radiation therapy is a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare team members.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends if necessary.
- Previous experience in addiction counseling or public health is desirable but not mandatory.
