Key responsibilities
- Evaluating and treating patients under the supervision of a physician
- Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests
- Assisting in surgical procedures and providing pre- and post-operative care
- Advising patients on preventive care and health maintenance
- Documenting patient information and treatment plans
- Performing minor surgical procedures
- Prescribing medication and providing recommendations for ongoing care
- Collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals
- Responding to patient inquiries and concerns
- Participating in medical research or academic activities
Required qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant program
- Current Physician Assistant license
- 2+ years of clinical experience
- Proficient in medical software and electronic health records
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance
- Ability to multitask and prioritize patient care
- Strong clinical knowledge and diagnostic skills
- Ability to work in a collaborative team environment
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
