Full Job Description
A Well-established Rheumatology Practice in Houston, Texas is seeking to add a Physician Assistant.
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
- Provide competent care to individuals scheduled to be evaluated and treated by you.
- Assess current and potential health problems.
- Make sound clinical judgements based on assessment of physical, psychological, emotional, spiritual, social and environmental needs of the patient.
- Analyze health behaviors related to personality, lifestyle, and culture.
- Order and interpret diagnostic studies such as laboratory test and x-rays.
- Perform medical procedures as necessary.
- Provide teaching, counseling and assistance to individuals and their family members in order to prevent illness to promote wellness, maintenance and restoration of health.
- Knowledge of medicines in treating rheumatologic conditions and related illness
- Assisting to maintain patient pharmaceutical assistance.
- Develop and implement therapeutic plans to promote satisfactory patient outcomes.
- Consult, refer to, and collaborate with other disciplines involved in the delivery of total patient care.
- Triage patient phone calls and provide necessary advice and or treatment plan
- Assist in the design, implementation and evaluation of research activities pertinent to the Practice.
- Function as a team member so as to promote comprehensive patient care while maintaining safe, high quality, accessible health care to all patient of Philip A. Waller, MD & Associates.
- Participating in cleanliness and organization of medicine and exam rooms.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $85,000.00 – $130,000.00 per year
Expected hours: 16 – 40 per week
