Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. TLC Vascular of Houston is a physician-led private practice Vascular/Cardiology group with offices near Med Center and Red Oak.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong clinical background and be committed to providing high-quality patient care. As a Nurse Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing and treating patients, collaborating with physicians, and ensuring comprehensive healthcare delivery.

Duties

  • Conduct thorough diagnostic evaluations to assess patient health and medical history.
  • Provide direct patient care, including physical examinations, treatment plans, and follow-up care.
  • Manage patients in a hospital setting, ensuring adherence to best practices in hospital medicine.
  • Utilize ICD-10 coding for accurate documentation and billing processes.
  • Utilize eCW for electronic health records management and patient tracking.
  • Provide specialized care for cardiac/vascular patients, including assessments and interventions as necessary.

Requirements

PA Requirements:

  • Degree as a physician Assistant
  • Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program
  • Background in pre-med preferred
  • Cardiology PA experience, preferably in a clinical setting.
  • Must hold and maintain a.) TX Regulatory Board of Physician Assistants License, b.) NCCPA – National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistant.
  • Valid DEA registration
  • Must meet credentialing criteria for credentialing staff

NP Requirements:

  • Master’s Degree in nursing. Graduate of accredited program for nurse practitioners
  • Compact state or Texas RN license
  • Texas Advanced Practice Nurse license
  • Cardiology NP experience, preferably in a clinical setting.
  • Must hold and maintain National Certificate as a nurse practitioner in area of specialty under TX regulations: a.) NP-AACN, b.) NP-AANP, c.) NP-ANCC, or d). NP-PNCB
  • Valid DEA registration
  • Must meet credentialing criteria for credentialing staff
