We are seeking a Full Time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to become a part of our Convenient Urgent Care team. To provide high quality care of all patients and assist in directing staff in the support of the care of our patients. Houston, TX 77091 Requirements:

  • Bilingual-Spanish preferred
  • Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
  • NP/PA Certification and TX licensure are required
  • The employee shall meet the requirements of the Texas Board of Medical Examiners; and be licensed to practice medicine without restrictions within the State of Texas
  • Licensure must be unencumbered, free of any open/unresolved disciplinary actions including probation or restrictions against privilege to practice
  • Current DEA certification
  • Current CPR certification required
  • Must be computer literate with ability to enter information in the Convenient Urgent Care Clinic EMR system and compile reports or data as requested
  • Must be able to meet and maintain current credentialing and privileging requirements
  • Valid Texas Driver’s License
  • Willingness to work Weekends
  • 2-3 Experience Required (Minimum)
  • 10.5 HR Shifts

Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and treat acute, episodic or chronic illnesses
  • Prescribe all necessary medications and treatments
  • Perform comprehensive physical examinations of patients
  • Develop and implement patient management policies and procedures
  • Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities
  • Communicate with collaborating physician or specialist regarding patient care
  • Assists Medical Director in developing clinical practice guidelines
  • Ability to follow Clinical practice guidelines – including adhering to the immunization policy and the Convenient Urgent Care Management Compliance Policy

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in nursing or other medical fields
  • Ability to build rapport with patients
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong leadership qualities
  • Experience working in Urgent Care Setting
  • Experience with Medical Procedures: Laceration Repair, Stitches/Sutures/Staples, Incision and Drainage, Subungual Hematoma, Ingrown Toenail Removal, Splint/Casting, Aspiration Procedures, Trigger Point Injection
  • Experience with Weight-loss Management
  • Experience with administering IV
  • EMR Experience Eclinicals
