We are seeking a Full Time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to become a part of our Urgent Care team. To provide high quality care of all patients and assist in directing staff in the support of the care of our patients. Requirements:

  • Bilingual-Spanish Required
  • Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
  • NP/PA Certification and TX licensure are required
  • The employee shall meet the requirements of the Texas Board of Medical Examiners; and be licensed to practice medicine without restrictions within the State of Texas
  • Licensure must be unencumbered, free of any open/unresolved disciplinary actions including probation or restrictions against privilege to practice
  • Current DEA certification
  • Current CPR certification required
  • Must be computer literate with ability to enter information in the Convenient Urgent Care Clinic EMR system and compile reports or data as requested
  • Must be able to meet and maintain current credentialing and privileging requirements
  • Valid Texas Driver’s License
  • Willingness to work Weekends
  • 2-3 Experience Required (Minimum)
  • 10.5 HR Shifts

Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and treat acute, episodic or chronic illnesses
  • Prescribe all necessary medications and treatments
  • Perform comprehensive physical examinations of patients
  • Develop and implement patient management policies and procedures
  • Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities
  • Communicate with collaborating physician or specialist regarding patient care
  • Assists Medical Director in developing clinical practice guidelines
  • Ability to follow Clinical practice guidelines – including adhering to the immunization policy and the Convenient Urgent Care Management Compliance Policy

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in nursing or other medical fields
  • Ability to build rapport with patients
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong leadership qualities
  • Experience working in Urgent Care Setting
  • Experience with Medical Procedures: Laceration Repair, Stitches/Sutures/Staples, Incision and Drainage, Subugual Hemotoma, Ingrown Toenail Removal, Splint/Casting, Aspiration Procedures, Trigger Point Injection
  • Experience with Weight-loss Management
  • Experience with administering IV
  • EMR Experience Eclinicals
