Family Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner

Town and Country Family Physicians

Job Type Full-Time

Job Summary

We are seeking for a dedicated and compassionate Texas licensed Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner with at least one year of experience in Primary Care setting to join our team. As a Family Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner, you will provide comprehensive care to patients of all ages, focusing on preventive measures, disease management, and patient-centered care. You will work collaboratively with our physicians to deliver high-quality care.

Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Conduct physical examinations and implement preventive health measures
  • Order and analyze diagnostic tests (e.g., blood tests, X-rays)
  • Diagnose health conditions and illnesses
  • Develop and propose treatment plans for chronic and infectious diseases
  • Prescribe medications and manage refill e-prescriptions
  • Maintain accurate and timely records using our electronic Medical Record (EMR) software
  • Educate patients about their families about health conditions, disease prevention, and management strategies
  • Oversee and monitor patients’ overall health and promote good health practices
  • Understand and apply PQRS and HEDIS measures
  • Document patient interactions and treatment plans in a timely and accurately
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Nurse Practitioner in a Primary care setting
  • Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems, with preference for Intergy
  • Strong team spirit with a positive attitude
  • Commitment to continue learning and clinical experience
  • Active Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration or eligibility for registration
  • Graduation and certification from an accredited advanced practice program
  • Current, unrestricted Texas Nurse Practitioner license

Pay: $100,000.00 – $110,000.00 per year
