Full Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) with expertise in obstetrics and gynecology (OB/GYN) to join our team. The NP will collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to deliver comprehensive care to women across the lifespan, including routine gynecological services, prenatal and postpartum care, and management of women’s health conditions.

The essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive health assessments, including medical history, physical examinations, and diagnostic testing.
  • Provide routine gynecological care, including Pap smears, pelvic exams, contraceptive counseling, and family planning services.
  • Manage prenatal care, including initial assessments, routine follow-ups, and postpartum evaluations.
  • Diagnose and treat acute and chronic gynecological conditions.
  • Educate patients on reproductive health, wellness, and preventive care.
  • Address menopausal and post-menopausal health concerns and provide appropriate treatments.
  • Order and interpret laboratory tests, imaging studies, and other diagnostics.
  • Prescribe medications, treatments, and therapies in accordance with state laws and practice protocols.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for the Physician Assistant will have the following background and experience:

  • Successful completion of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner Program.
  • Minimum of 1 year APP experience.
  • Current state license as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner in practicing state.

Collaboration and Teamwork:

  • Work closely with OB/GYN physicians to develop and implement patient care plans.

Administrative Duties:

  • Document patient encounters accurately and timely in electronic health records (EHR).
  • Maintain compliance with clinic policies, procedures, and state/federal regulations.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education programs.
  • Collaborate with nursing staff, medical assistants, and administrative personnel to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Refer patients to specialists as needed and coordinate care.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 – $110,000.00 per year
