Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated Physician Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care under the supervision of a licensed physician.

Responsibilities:

• Obtains detailed history and performs physical examinations on assigned patients; assesses and treats acute/chronic medical problems and provides direct patient care
• Practices safety, environmental, and/or infection control methods
• Writes progress notes on patients’ charts indicating patient status and treatment procedures performed; maintains other records as required
• Supervises and/ or coordinates the activities of patient care and support staff within the clinic
• Provides health education to patients and families
• Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, in-service meetings, and workshops

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

• Ability to supervise and train staff including organizing, prioritizing and scheduling work assignments
• Ability to perform medical examinations using standard medical procedures
• Knowledge of primary care principles and practices
• Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards
• Knowledge of clinical operations and procedures
• Knowledge of drugs, and their indications, contraindications, dosing, side effects and proper administration
• Ability to observe, assesses, and record symptoms, reactions, and progress
• Knowlege of current and emerging trends in technologies, techniques, issues, and approaches in area of expertise
• Ability to make administrative and procedural decisions

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $64.29 – $68.57 per hour

Expected hours: 8 per week

Healthcare setting:

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Weekends as needed

Experience:

• EMR systems: 5 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Certified Nurse Practitioner (Preferred)
• PA-C (Required)
• Physician Assistant License (Required)

Ability to Commute:

• Frisco, TX 75034 (Required)

Ability to Relocate:

• Frisco, TX 75034: Relocate before starting work (Required)
