Full Job Description

OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care across various settings. This position requires a strong commitment to patient health, effective communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals. The Physician Assistant will be involved in assessing patient needs, developing treatment plans, and delivering comprehensive care.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments and evaluations to determine health status.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians.
  • Administer medications and injections as required, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
  • Provide pain management strategies tailored to individual patient needs.
  • Assist in specialized areas such as PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit) and geriatrics.
  • Utilize neonatal ventilators for patients requiring respiratory support.
  • Collect and analyze data for ongoing research initiatives within the practice.
  • Offer addiction counseling services to patients struggling with substance use disorders.
  • Perform dermatological procedures such as dermabrasion when necessary.
  • Manage tube feeding for patients who require nutritional support.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Physician Assistant studies from an accredited program.
  • Current certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
  • Strong clinical skills with experience in pain management, geriatrics, and pediatric care preferred.
  • Proficiency in data collection and research methodologies is advantageous.
  • Experience administering injections and performing minor procedures such as dermabrasion is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with neonatal ventilators and tube feeding techniques is a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development within the medical field.
