Job OverviewWe are Rheumatology practice servicing Tarrant county population. We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care. This role requires a strong understanding of medical practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The Physician Assistant will be responsible for assessing patients, diagnosing conditions, and developing treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians.
Duties
- Conduct thorough patient assessments including medical history and physical examinations.
- Diagnose and treat various medical conditions under the supervision of a physician.
- Perform procedures such as suturing, airway management, and gastric lavage as needed.
- Interpret medical imaging results and utilize ICD-10 coding for documentation purposes.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop comprehensive care plans for patients.
- Provide education to patients regarding their health conditions and treatment options, focusing on primary care and geriatrics.
- Participate in public health initiatives and community outreach programs to promote wellness.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using electronic health record systems such as Epic.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Current certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
- Valid state licensure to practice as a Physician Assistant.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and best practices in patient care.
- Experience or familiarity with geriatrics is preferred but not required.
- Proficient in medical imaging interpretation and ICD-9 coding is advantageous.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare team members.

Pay: $105,000.00 – $125,000.00 per year
