Physician Assistant

Provides comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, emergency psychiatric assessments and diagnosis. Order, conduct and interpret laboratory and other diagnostic tests, determining a holistic plan of care including pharmacological decisions, psychotherapeutic and other interventions. Make appropriate referrals and provide follow-up care including medication and other management decisions. Must be willing to share on call responsibilities with the staff psychiatrist. This position is in the Forensic Mental Health Program at the Tarrant County Jail.

Minimum Requirements: Master’s Degree
Graduation from an Accredited Physician Assistant School and licensed to practice as Physician Assistant by Texas Medical Board
Experience: Health or Human Services
Required License: Texas Physician Assistant License, Valid Texas driver’s license with an acceptable driving record. Must provide license (if applicable) and official documentation of all educational attainment i.e. Transcript/Degree/Certificate
