Full Job Description
We are looking for an experienced, motivated and dedicated physician assistant to join our team at Key Dermatology. We go through a very selective hiring process. Previous dermatology experience is not required but must have prior medical experience as a physician assistant. Individual must be able to work and adapt in a fast paced environment. Individual must be able to communicate well and effectively to patients and staff. Must be able to efficiently document in an electronic health record. Dermatology training to be provided by our dermatologist but individuals are expected to learn and excel on their own time as well. Must be willing to learn and improve knowledge on a daily basis, under the guidance and mentorship of the supervising dermatologist. Compensation includes the base salary with productivity bonus.
Responsibilities:- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a physician- Conduct clinical examinations and take detailed medical histories- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as lab work and imaging studies- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses, injuries, and infections- Prescribe medications and other treatments- Perform certain procedures such as skin biopsies and cryotherapy.- Effectively educate patients on diagnosis and treatment.- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
Qualifications:- Bachelor’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies or related field- Valid state license to practice as a Physician Assistant- Certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)- Strong knowledge of medical principles, practices, and procedures- Previous physician assistant experience required- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities
