POSITION: Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
The PA / NP will work under the supervision of the clinic physician according to the medical protocol set forth by the organization. Under general direction, the PA / NP provides patient care; conducts physical exams; completes health history summary; documents patients’ progress, and assists with patient care management.
Wellness visits only. No sick visits. Friendly work environment.
Job Functions
- Obtains and reviews patient’s medical and psychosocial history information relevant to patient care
- Conducts physical examinations
- Orders and reviews laboratory studies as well as diagnostic procedures; including EKGs
- Assumes responsibility for prescribing and dispensing FDA-approved appetite suppressants according to state and federal guidelines
- Reviews patients’ progress and manages patient care accordingly
- Maintains all required documentation for patient care and medication management
- Facilitates referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities as necessary and will communicate with collaborating physician and/or specialists regarding patient’s care
- Provides training to clinical and non-clinical staff as needed
- Documents patient progress notes in the patient chart and/or EMR.
- Performs other clinical duties as required
- Conducts follow-up calls to patients to discuss the patient’s progress and address any concerns.
- Develops strategic recommendations to support patient experience improvement initiatives.
- Provides ongoing support to promote clinic profitability and success

Experience:
- Minimum 1 year NP/PA experience as main provider
- EMR systems (Preferred)
- EKG (Preferred)
- Nutrition (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- Certified Nurse Practitioner (Required)
- PA-C (Required)
- DEA Certification (Required)
- Current CAQH profile (Required)
- Credentialed with key insurance payers (Preferred).
Job Type: Part-Time (15-20 hours per week), 2 week days + all Saturdays.

Clinic Hours:
- Tuesday: 7 am – 1 pm
- Wednesday: 1 pm – 7 pm
- Thursday: 7 am – 1 pm
- Friday: 7 am – 2 pm
- Saturday: 8 am – 12 pm
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $52.00 – $58.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16 per week
Experience:
- Advanced practice provider: 1 year (Required)
License/Certification:
- DEA License (Preferred)
