Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant who has a true passion for working with children. The ideal candidate will take the time to build meaningful connections with our patients and their families; learning about their interests, milestones, and health goals.
Responsibilities:– Conduct physical examinations and record medical history of patients- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses- Prescribe medications and monitor patient response to treatment- Educate and engage with families about their children’s health and wellness- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as lab work and imaging studies
ExperienceCandidates should possess the following skills and experience:
- Previous experience in pediatric care or family medicine preferred.
- Ability to perform well-child exams, developmental screenings, and manage common pediatric illnesses.
- Experience with immunizations and preventive care guidelines
- Proficient in EMR documentation.
- Ability to interpret labs, imaging, and other diagnostic tests.
- Knowledge of prescribing appropriate medications for pediatrics patients.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with both children and caregivers.
- Ability to build rapport and trust with patients of all ages
- Strong time management and ability to prioritize multiple tasks
- Detail oriented and thorough in documentation and follow up care
- Willingness to work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and support staff
- Flexibility and adaptability in a busy clinical environment
Professional Credentials:
- Current, unrestricted PA or NP license in Texas
- Certification by an accredited national board
