Job Summary
The El Paso Center for Seizures and Epilepsy believes all children with seizures and epilepsy should receive excellent, specialized neurologic care. Our goal is to make this care accessible to all children in the El Paso region, regardless of English proficiency, health insurance status or ability to pay.
We are looking for two physician’s assistants or nurse practitioners to help us provide care for these children in need. We provide on-the-job training in a positive and safe work environment. We are growing fast and our goal is to expand to a second location on the east side within 2-3 years.
Duties
- Take detailed histories & conduct physical examinations
- Assist in the diagnosis and management of seizure disorders
- Educate patients and families on seizure safety and first aid
- Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners and clinic staff to provide comprehensive care
- Maintain accurate documentation
Requirements
- Possess a valid PA license
- Experience in outpatient pediatrics
- No neurology experience necessary! Just a desire to learn. We love to teach: no question is a stupid question!
- Organization, attention-to-detail and time-management skills a must
- We are looking for someone confident and comfortable with change as we continue to grow and improve our ability to serve our community
Job Description:
- You will start at a 32 hour work-week (Weds off) as we currently only see patients Mon/Tues/Thurs/Fri.
- You will be supported in the learning process- for the first several months, you will staff all of your patients with another provider (MD/NP)
- Once you are more experienced/able to perform certain tasks independently there is an option to move to full time if desired.
- If you have other schedule limitations let us know – we are willing to be flexible to accommodate your needs.

Pay:
- Salary commensurate with experience.
