Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our dynamic team in an outpatient pulmonary clinic. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients with a range of respiratory conditions including asthma, COPD, pulmonary fibrosis, and other lung-related diseases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history, physical exams, and diagnostic testing.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor personalized treatment plans for patients with pulmonary conditions.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic studies such as pulmonary function tests, chest X-rays, and blood tests.
  • Provide patient education regarding lung diseases, medications, lifestyle modifications, and treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Manage follow-up appointments and monitor patient progress.
  • Maintain accurate and timely medical records in compliance with clinic policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in patient and staff education, including attending seminars and continuing medical education (CME) opportunities.
  • Adhere to clinic protocols, policies, and professional guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • Valid and current Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) license in the state of Texas.
  • Master’s degree in Nursing (NP) or Physician Assistant studies.
  • Certification in Pulmonology or relevant specialty is a plus.
  • 2+ years of clinical experience in pulmonary or internal medicine preferred (new graduates with strong pulmonary interest will be considered).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-based environment.
  • Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $125,000.00 – $130,000.00 per year
