LICENSED PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT (PA)
Integrative Primary Care of El Paso is a respected healthcare provider located in the new subdivision of Northeast El Paso, Texas with a commitment to high-quality, compassionate care. Our team is growing, and we are currently seeking a licensed Physician Assistant to join our dynamic and patient-centered team.
SUMMARY:
We are looking for a Physician Assistant (PA) to join our team who will provide quality care to our patients.
A Physician Assistant’s responsibility is to support the physical and mental health of his/her patients by working closely with them and their families. Some of their common duties and responsibilities include:
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Greeting patients and gathering information about their medical history and current symptoms.
- Performing physical exams to make correct diagnoses.
- Working with Physicians and Nurses to prescribe and administer treatments.
- Ordering diagnostic testing, such as bloodwork and imaging tests.
- Monitoring patient progress and adjusting treatment plans as needed.
- Instructing patients and their families about lifestyle changes and self-care techniques that compliment treatment plans.
- Maintaining accurate patient records.
- Referring patients to specialists as needed.
EDUCATION:
Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Completion of a minimum of 2,000 clinical hours.
- Master’s degree from a program approved by the . (ARC-PA).
- National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants’ (NCCPA); (PANCE).
- Texas State License
- Holds official transcripts or can provide them upon request.
- Has completed Controlled Substance Prescribing Training.
CLINICAL & PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCE:
- Specialty aligns with our practice (e.g., PA for primary care)
- Experience in similar clinical setting
- Demonstrates evidence-based clinical decision-making
- Familiar with EMR/EHR systems
- Up-to-date BLS/ACLS certifications
LEGAL & EMPLOYMENT DOCUMENTATION:
- Background check cleared
- Malpractice history reviewed
- References from previous employers/supervisors
EXPERIENCE & REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a clinical setting
- Bilingual
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish with the ability to communicate and interact professionally within a diverse team.
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail in a fast-paced work environment
- Strong computer skills and able to operate applicable software with ease.
- Excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal skills
- Ability to analyze information and problem-solve effective
- Cognizance of delicate and confidential patient information.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: Commensurate with Experience
Expected Work Hours: 40 per week
