Full Job Description

Marilyn Asistores-Quilon, MDPA is an independently-owned family practice that has been serving the Rio Grande for 30 years. Dr. Asistores, a native of the Philippines, graduated at the top of her class in Manila and immigrated to the United States in 1984 to Chicago, IL. As she studied to pass the board, she worked in a family practice as a medical biller and coder and became well-versed in the administrative management of an independent clinic. She passed the board in 1989 and was accepted for her residency in the US in both New York City, NY and Lewiston, ME, opting for the latter. Dr. Asistores was offered to come to the Rio Grande Valley in 1993 with the incentive to serve an oft-overlooked and humble community in a time when the region was in need of skilled healthcare professionals. She has served at every major hospital in the Rio Grande Valley. She is well known among her colleagues and has built a dedicated and loyal patient base over her thirty years of practice. Our mission is to humbly serve that patient base, provide quality patient care, and create a work environment that allows for compassionate care and patient connection.
