Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will work in a collaborative environment within a teaching hospital, providing high-quality patient care across various specialties. This role requires a strong commitment to public health and the ability to work effectively in emergency medicine and geriatrics. The Physician Assistant will also engage in data collection and contribute to research initiatives aimed at improving patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical histories and physical examinations.
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians.
- Administer botulinum toxin treatments as needed, adhering to established standards of care.
- Provide education and counseling to patients regarding their health conditions and treatment options.
- Participate actively in emergency medicine scenarios, ensuring timely and effective interventions.
- Collect and analyze data for clinical research projects, contributing to the advancement of medical knowledge.
- Utilize Cerner systems for accurate documentation of patient information and treatment plans.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient care quality and safety.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Current certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
- Experience or interest in geriatrics, emergency medicine, or public health is preferred.
- Proficiency in data collection methods and research practices is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to teach patients effectively about their health.
- Familiarity with Cerner or similar electronic health record systems is a plus.
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care within a teaching hospital environment.
