The Opportunity

We are seeking a confident, experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our growing urgent care team serving the expanding communities of Elgin and Del Valle. We deliver high-quality, efficient care in a modern setting. Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and treat acute illnesses and minor injuries with appropriate physician consultation per Texas law and clinic protocols.
  • Perform focused and comprehensive physical exams; interpret diagnostics (X-ray, EKG, labs).
  • Comfortable caring for pediatric patients.
  • Perform urgent care procedures including
  • suturing/laceration repair
  • splinting and initial fracture management
  • I&D
  • foreign body removal, and wound care.
  • Document efficiently in the EMR.
  • Maintain high standards of patient experience and clinical safety.

Schedule

  • Clinic hours: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM, 7 days/week
  • 12-hour shifts
  • Full-time typically 12-14 shifts/month
  • Rotating weekends and holidays
  • Primary site assignment in Elgin or Del Valle with occasional coverage at the other site

Required Qualifications

  • Active, unrestricted Texas NP or PA license
  • National certification (AANP/ANCC for NP; NCCPA for PA)
  • 2–3+ years recent urgent care or emergency medicine experience (new graduates not eligible for this role)
  • Strong procedural skills (suturing, splinting, I&D)
  • Eligible for DEA registration and Texas prescriptive authority
  • BLS required; ACLS/PALS preferred
