Physician Assistant-Hospitalist | Permanent Role
- Location: Dallas, TX, 75246
- Shift: 7:00 PM 7:00 AM
- Guaranteed: 36 Hours
- Compensation: Based on experience.
Essential Functions:
- Conduct comprehensive or focused physical exams and obtain detailed medical histories.
- Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests (lab, imaging, etc.) to assess patient conditions.
- Prescribe and administer medications and therapeutic treatments based on clinical judgment and protocols.
- Develop and implement patient-centered, outcomes-based care plans aligned with evidence-based practices.
- Evaluate patient responses to treatments and adjust plans accordingly.
- Provide counseling to patients and families on conditions, medications, nutrition, and preventive health.
- Document all clinical findings, treatment plans, and outcomes accurately in patient records.
- Refer patients to specialists when clinical issues exceed scope of practice or expertise.
- Provide specialty consultation services and perform procedures within PA’s scope and training.
- May participate in hospital rounds, patient admissions/discharges, and on-call rotations.

- Skilled in physical and mental health assessment, diagnosis, and rehabilitation approaches.
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent critical thinking, clinical reasoning, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to develop evidence-based treatment plans and counsel on behavior modification.
- Proficiency in interpreting diagnostic tests and using EMR software.
- Team player with strong interpersonal skills and patient care focus.
Required Certifications & Licenses:
- Active Physician Assistant License-Texas
- BLS Certification-within 30 days of hire/transfer
- ACLS Certification-within 30 days of hire/transfer
- NCCPA Certification (National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants)
Qualifications:
- Education: Graduate of an Accredited Physician Assistant Program
- Experience: New graduates accepted (Less than 1 year of experience required).
