OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care, collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive medical services. This position requires a strong foundation in clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to patient-centered care.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough diagnostic evaluations and assessments of patients.
- Perform pain management procedures and assist in developing treatment plans.
- Administer dermal fillers and other aesthetic treatments as required.
- Phlebotomize patients for laboratory testing and manage specimen collection.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality.
- Utilize aseptic techniques during procedures to prevent infection.
- Participate in discharge planning and coordinate follow-up care for patients.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team in a Level II Trauma Center environment.
- Provide occupational health services as needed, ensuring workplace safety for employees.
Experience
- A Master’s degree in Physician Assistant studies or a related field is required.
- Previous experience in a hospital setting is preferred, particularly within trauma or emergency care.
- Familiarity with pain management techniques and protocols is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in diagnostic evaluation methods and patient assessment skills.
- Knowledge of discharge planning processes and occupational health practices is an asset.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients, families, and team members.
