Join the Grossman Burn Center at Methodist Health System in Dallas, TX — a nationally recognized program for advanced burn, wound, and reconstructive care. This full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant role offers hands-on surgical experience, including first assist in the OR, within a 6-bed mixed-acuity unit. Work alongside renowned plastic and reconstructive surgeon Dr. Peter H. Grossman, in a collaborative, high-acuity environment with excellent pay, benefits, and mentorship.

About the Role

The NP/PA will work closely with Dr. Peter H. Grossman, President of the Los Angeles Society of Plastic Surgeons and an accomplished board-certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon. Dr. Grossman divides his practice between cosmetic and reconstructive surgery and the care of burn-injured patients. His philosophy emphasizes achieving the best possible outcomes for every patient through evidence-based medicine, surgical precision, and innovative technology.

This position blends acute care, surgical first assist, and multidisciplinary collaboration—an ideal opportunity for an advanced practice provider with a strong interest in plastic and reconstructive surgery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in plastic, reconstructive, and burn surgery procedures
  • Manage inpatient and outpatient care, including pre- and post-operative evaluations
  • Perform procedures such as central/arterial line placement and wound management
  • Order and interpret diagnostics, prescribe medications, and develop treatment plans
  • Participate in patient education, quality improvement, and multidisciplinary rounds

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree and current NP or PA licensure
  • Texas license (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Board Certification required
  • Current ACLS, ABLS, and PALS certifications
  • Experience in surgical, critical care, ICU, or burn settings strongly preferred
  • Passion for plastic and reconstructive surgery and continued professional growth
