About Mobile Wound Care MD

Mobile Wound Care MD specializes in providing advanced wound care services across various settings, delivering expert care directly to patients at home or in healthcare facilities. We are committed to improving patient outcomes with compassionate, specialized care. We are currently seeking experienced Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants to join our PRN team, providing flexible wound care services throughout the DFW Metroplex.

Position Overview

As a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) at Mobile Wound Care MD, you will be responsible for providing advanced wound care services to patients on an as-needed basis. You will have the flexibility to work independently while collaborating with other healthcare professionals, ensuring patients receive high-quality care in the DFW Metroplex.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide wound care services, including patient assessments, treatment plans, and follow-up care.
  • Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to create and manage patient care plans.
  • Perform wound care procedures according to patient needs and clinical guidelines.
  • Document all patient interactions and treatments using the electronic health record (EHR) system.
  • Educate patients and caregivers about wound care management and preventive strategies.
  • Maintain compliance with Mobile Wound Care MD’s standards and industry regulations.
  • Keep up-to-date with the latest wound care techniques and protocols.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to patient care improvements.

Qualifications:

  • Active Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in Texas.
  • Current certification from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) (for NP applicants), or NCCPA certification (for PA applicants).
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a clinical setting, preferably 1 year in wound care.
  • Ability to work independently and handle a diverse patient population.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Experience in wound care or home health is preferred but not required.
  • Certification as a Wound Care Specialist (preferred).
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for home visits within the greater DFW area.

Schedule:

This is a PRN (as-needed) role offering flexibility in hours based on patient needs. Availability throughout the DFW Metroplex is required.
