Full Job Description

We are seeking a Neurosurgery Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our NeuroTrauma program in Corpus Christi, TX, just one block from the beach! This position is based in a newly built, state-of-the-art hospital recognized for stroke and trauma care, an ACS-verified Level II trauma center handling around 2,200 trauma patients annually.

Key Responsibilities include assisting two neurosurgeons with inpatient rounding, ER consults, and outpatient follow-ups. The APP will perform patient assessments, order and evaluate tests, develop treatment plans, and manage intracranial pressure monitors, drains, shunts, and complex spinal injuries. The role involves rounding at one hospital with a nearby clinic.

Qualifications:

  • Degree from an accredited Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) program.
  • For PAs, certification through NCCPA is required.
  • For NPs, certification through AANP or ANCC is required; Neuro Emergency Certification is preferred.
  • One year or more of experience in neuro, ortho spine, trauma, or critical care is preferred.
