Full Job Description
Job Duties:
· Provide comprehensive orthopedic patient care under the supervision of a physician
· Perform and document physical examinations and obtain medical histories
· Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses
· Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as laboratory work and imaging studies
· Develop and implement treatment plans
· Administer medications, including injections, as directed by a physician
· Perform minor office procedures, such as suturing and wound care
· Provide pain management interventions
· Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes
· Educate patients and their families about medical conditions and treatment options
· Participate in patient triage and prioritize care based on urgency
· Maintain accurate and detailed medical records
· Provide inpatient care
· Help plan and coordinate surgery (medical, imaging, and pre-surgical evaluations)
· Be the first-assistant in the operating room (setting up room, positioning, assisting, and closing)
Requirements:
· Valid Physician Assistant license in TX
· Willingness to live in Bryan/College Station
· Genuine interest in outpatient and inpatient orthopedic surgery
· Very comfortable with medical documentation via both dictation and EMR
· Ability to triage patients effectively based on their medical needs
· Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
· Basic knowledge of physiology and medical terminology
· Efficiency
· Strong clinical skills

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $99,000.00 – $120,000.00 per year
