About Us:
Good Life Family Medicine is a patient-centered healthcare facility dedicated to providing comprehensive and compassionate family medicine services. We are new to College Station and opened in 2023. We are seeking a skilled and highly motivated Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join our dynamic team and contribute to delivering high-quality care to our diverse patient population. We provide medical care to patients, ages 3 months to adults. We provide DOT physicals for CDL drivers and weight loss visits as well. Our clinic currently does not accept Medicare, Medicaid or Tricare. We are open 5 days a week and off all major holidays. We are also closed for lunch from 12-1pm.
Job Summary:
The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) will work collaboratively with a Physician Assistant and healthcare staff to provide primary care services, including diagnosing and managing acute and chronic conditions, conducting wellness exams, and promoting preventive health measures. The APP will deliver patient-centered care while adhering to evidence-based guidelines and best practices in family medicine. There is no call or weekend coverage.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive physical examinations, diagnose conditions, and develop treatment plans.
Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including laboratory work and imaging studies.
Prescribe medications and manage treatment regimens in compliance with state regulations.
Provide preventive care, screenings, and health education to patients of all ages.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
Document patient encounters accurately and timely in the electronic health record (EHR).
Utilize ICD-10 coding for accurate documentation and billing processes
Address patient inquiries including email or phone calls, provide follow-up care, and support chronic disease management.
Stay updated on best practices, medical advancements, and changes in healthcare regulations.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a positive work environment.
Provide DOT exams for CDL drivers.
Qualifications:
Master’s or Doctoral degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) license in Texas.
Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Physician Assistant (PA-C).
Active and unrestricted DEA license.
DOT certified medical exam provider or must obtain before starting date.
Minimum 2 years of experience in family medicine, primary care, pediatrics, emergency medicine, urgent care, or a related field preferred.
Strong clinical skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and documentation practices.
