Job Description
The Mid-level Physician’s Assistant is responsible for providing health care to patients in the hospital or office setting. The Mid-level Physician’s Assistant works in consultation, cooperation and coordination through a collaborative physician. The Mid-level Practitioner functions according to the established standards and practices of medicine for Physician’s Assistants in the State of Texas.
Required Licenses:
- Master’s Degree
- BSN.
- PA licensed in the state of Texas
- BLS.
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
- Knowledge of medical practices, terminology, and reimbursement policies.
- Thorough knowledge of patient triage, diagnosis and evidenced-based care.
- Knowledge in overcoming barriers from diagnosis to treatment including: financial/economic, language/culture, transportation issues.
- Skill in planning, organizing, delegating, and supervising.
- Skill in evaluating the effectiveness of existing methods and procedures.
