The Crane Center is a world-renowned Gender Affirming surgical practice, with locations in Greenbrae, California, Boulder, Colorado, and Austin, Texas. We are looking to add a highly motivated PA-C to our team in Austin, TX. These positions offer full benefits, CME reimbursement, and opportunity for professional growth.

Job Description

The Physician Assistant will assist in the overall management of patient care, both in the office/clinic and hospital settings. The Physician Assistant will collaborate with all members of the patient care team.

Responsibilities include:

  • Must have a minimum of 3 years First Assist experience. Urology and/or Plastic Surgery preferred.
  • Counsels and educates patients and their families/caregivers concerning pre and post-operative health, treatment options and community resources in both the hospital (rounding) and out-patient (clinic) settings.
  • Obtains patient history and performs assessment via observation, interview and examination. Orders, performs and interprets diagnostic studies.
  • Provides telephone and/or email consultations with patients to answer questions regarding pre-operative concerns, post-operative care and general clinical questions, during normal office hours and as a part of the “on-call” schedule as determined by the practice.
  • Must be proficient with Mac/Apple products.
  • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment.
  • Ability to speak, read and write Spanish preferred.

Education and Licensing Requirements:

  • Current PA license – eligible for licensure in CA, CO and TX
  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
  • Current certification from NCCPA.
  • Prescription authority and DEA number

Compensation: $110,000.00 – $150,000.00 base

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $110,000.00 – $150,000.00 per year
